Accountant (General Ledger)

Job Responsibilities 

Our Finance Team, headquartered here in Singapore, is in charge of maintaining and ensuring all Accounting and Finance operations are running smoothly. You will be part of a specialised and fast-paced managing Castlery’s Finances across the Singapore, Australia and the United States, and you’ll also be given an opportunity to work on various projects, which include system implementation and process improvement. Your daily job responsibilities are as per below. 

  • Manage all General Ledger entries and assist in Financial Reporting for all entities 

  • Assist in maintaining company’s financial structure, prepare timely and precise financial reports to both management and regulatory. 

  • Assist in month-end close and provide financial related reports including P&L review, variance account analysis, balance sheet, etc.  

  • Provide finance support for internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc. 

  • Oversee and support the daily account receivable and payable entries and processes. 

  • Assist in preparing quarterly GST submission, US sales tax and withholding tax. 

  • Liaise with external auditors and support annual accounting audit activities. 

Requirements 

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance. 

  • Attained ACCA Certification and/or certified as Singapore Chartered Accountant highly advantageous. 

  • 2 to 3 Years of experience managing General Ledger functions in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Experience working in a start-up, retail and/or ecommerce environment is highly advantageous. 

  • Highly organized and motivated, a team player and fast learner. 

  • Experience working with major accounting systems, including SAP, Oracle etc.  

  • Strong experience and knowledge in Microsoft Excel. 

  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred, both written and spoken to liaise with Chinese counterparts.
